Project Description:
Essential Question:
How should gangs and gang violence be controlled?
Thesis:
Gangs that continue to disrupt the flow of the city and wreck havoc in their city should be ineligible to legally purchase weapons of any sort and they must follow a three strike and you’re out procedure.
Passion: (Describe why the topic is an area of great interest to you.)
This topic is in an area of interest to me because I have always been interested in the affairs of gang members.
Project Schedule: Describe briefly what you expect to accomplish each Week in order to complete your research paper by May 6th.
April 8th- Proposal due (it must be printed and posted on your writing portfolio website). I will have it done by the end of class on the 8th though the research and annotations that I will do.
April 15th- Annotated Bibliography due (it must include at five primary and five secondary sources). I will have it done by the end of the day by keeping track of the websites I visit and accurately annotating my resources.
April 29th- Draft after a WIW visit is due I will make sure to visit with WIW before the due date so I will be prepared.
May 6th- Final draft of the research paper is due with an attached memo about your plans for the presentation. I will have it complete by May 6th.
May 20th- Presentations are due and the research paper must be posted to Moodle. It will be posted to Moodle.

I understand that I will be given freedom with my NHD project. I understand that I am being trusted to use this time productively and if I am not on task during work days, I may lose the right to use a computer.
